Score
Cricket scoring app that works offline
Tap a ball and the score moves. AwaySwing keeps every ball on your phone first, so scoring never waits for the network, and follows the Laws of Cricket for everything that can happen in a match.
Every ball, by the Laws
- Runs, boundaries, wides and no-balls (1 or 2 runs, as your competition plays), byes, leg byes and overthrows
- Free hits, penalty runs with the reason, dead balls and every way of getting out
- Retirements, substitutes, super overs and declared or follow-on innings in two-innings matches
- Any number of overs and players a side, for club, school, 8-a-side and tape-ball cricket
Scores with no signal
Every ball is saved on the phone. When the signal drops the match carries on, and the score uploads by itself when it's back. If the app closes or the battery dies, Resume scoring opens the match at the exact ball.
Mistakes are easy to fix
Edit, insert or delete any ball and the whole scorecard follows. Every change is kept in the match log. When the match is signed off it locks, and unlocking needs a reason that shows on the scorecard.
Hand over, or score with two phones
Pass the scoring to another phone with a QR code when the scorer has to bat. A second scorer can keep the score too, and AwaySwing shows where the two differ.
Share the scorecard
Every match has a link. Share it on WhatsApp or anywhere: the live scorecard opens in any browser and updates by itself, with no app or account needed to follow.
Stats from every match
Batting and bowling figures, career stats, leaderboards, records, head to head and a player of the match, all worked out from the balls you score. Moment cards for fours, sixes, wickets and milestones are ready to share.
Questions
Does AwaySwing work without internet?
Yes. Scoring works with no signal at all. Every ball is saved on the phone and uploads by itself when the connection comes back.
Can I correct a ball after it's scored?
Yes. You can edit, insert or delete any ball and the scorecard recalculates. Every change is kept in the match log.
What if the scorer's phone dies?
Open the app again and choose Resume scoring: the match continues from the exact ball. You can also hand scoring to another phone with a QR code.
Which match formats can I score?
Limited-overs matches of any length, two-innings (multi-day) matches with declarations and follow-ons, and super overs. Players per side can be changed for 8-a-side, tape-ball or other local formats.
